Traditionally we are pleased to invite you to a press briefing on the occasion of the launch of the current edition of the EU8+2 Regular Economic Report (formerly the EU8 Quarterly Economic Report). The report which is being published since May 2004 monitors the macroeconomic and reform developments in the EU 8+2 countries (all new EU member countries accept for Cyprus and Malta) and the next accession country, Croatia, and provides both an up-to-date summary of economic developments in the region and an in-depth analyses of key current economic policy issues. This time the Special topic looks at the income inequality versus quality of life and is entitled "Satisfaction with Life and Public Service Delivery in EU10 Countries"
The briefing will take place on Thursday, January 31st, 2008 at 10:30 am in the premises of the World Bank Office in Warsaw, 53 E. Plater Str., 9th floor.
The report will by presented by Mr. Ronald Hood, Lead Economist in the Europe and Central Asia Region of the World Bank and the main author of the report.
The briefing will also be attended by journalists in Bulgaria and Romania who will be hooked up with the Warsaw Office via videoconferencing facilities.
